The fuel is pumping to the filter. Removed the line from the filter to test this.  However, when you crank the vehicle it pushes fuel out the side of the fuel pump...like there is a hole of some sort.
The fuel comes out of this area,,,standing on the passenger side of jeep looking under the hood...fuel pump straight ahead of you....at the base of the fuel pump there is appears to be a closed off area on the right side of the pump and an open "hole" on the left.  Why would fuel be spitting out of that area?  Just a bad fuel pump?  Could it be that the fuel filter is plugged causing this?

Second, the vehicle has sat for almost 3 years,,,is there a drain plug for the fuel tank.?
