    Hi,
    This is not a battery problem.  The fact that the switch will not go into ignition, is indicative of a mechanical issue with the switch.

    You may need to replace it, but that is an unusual problem since switches tend to not go bad on bikes that new.

    You may want to get the bike into a shop for this issue if you are not that mechanically inclined.
