Are parents who send children to bed at 7:00pm every night selfish and rigid control freaks?

A book published in 2001 advocated that parents should send all pre-teens up until puberty to bed at 7:00pm every night whether it is a school night, weekend, vacation or summer. She also hinted this gave her free time in the evening to pursue her career of writing other books.

    If they are scool age then definitely. No school age child needs to be in bed at 7:00. I NEVER had a bedtime thar early.
