Yes. According to the new healthcare reforms, students can stay in their parents’ plan till the age of 26. And for the students in Ohio, the good news is continues till they 28. However, your parents’ coverage is not valid in your area of residence/study or if you are married, then you cannot depend on them for medical coverage. In such a scenario, you either will have to go for an individual plan or a family policy along with your spouse.

The reforms spell good news for students in America. Now they do not have to worry about jobs after high school and more and more students will be encouraged to complete graduation. My son is pursuing his higher studies without having to worry about his medical bills and that gives him and me peace of mind.
