   The lush green landscape lapped by the waters of the Indian Ocean is just one of the many reasons why tourists flock the island often considered as a traveler's paradise. Apart from the usual shopping and watching cultural performances another favorite activity of the tourists is to participate in the colorful and vibrant nightlife in Bali.
   Every nook and corner of the island is lined up with Nightclubs in Bali which are open throughout the night. But the tastes differ from person to person and many tourists prefer visiting the local bars and pubs in Bali for the Happy hour complimentary drinks that are offered while others prefer to remain awake for the entire night and enjoy loud music amidst a sea of faces.

   The travelers can also visit the Northern region of Singaraja and the Lovina Beach which also houses a large section of pubs, discotheques and multi-cuisine restaurants. The ambience at these places is pretty relaxed and not as crowded as the bars in Kuta. Another nighttime activity which is common and can be witnessed by the travelers is the midnight dipping into the ocean which a number of local youngsters participate in.
   But nightlife in Bali is not only about visiting nightclubs and bars but also comprises of traditional activities and performances which are not influenced by the western traditions and have been a part of the island for generations. One of the favorite activities is the Monkey Dance or the Kecak Dance which involves bare-chested men sitting around a fire accompanied with a female dancer and a priest. The dancers move around the fire in unison and the tempo created will surely leave an imprint on a travelers mind.
   Another cultural dance which is an important aspect of the nightlife in Bali is the Wayang Kulit or the shadow puppet. Performed very late in the night, the theatrical performance is strictly for entertainment purpose.
   So if one is wondering about how to experience the Bali nightlife then one of the best things to do in Bali is to hop on a taxi and either dance away at the nearest pub or watch a cultural performance which will leave an indelible mark in your mind.
