    Hi,
While removing blisters from small burns is a good idea, you also need to take care of what you uncover! The trade-off in removing a blister is that while it can heal faster, it is also vulnerable to infection. That is why it must be washed twice a day, covered with silvadene or another good quality antibiotic and kept completely covered until healed on no longer "wet."

Now small burns can be treated with some aloe but natural aloe is nether sterile nor really that helpful to second degree burns.

From what you tell me, one of two things is happening. Either the burn has been uncovered and is drying without healing or is infected. For starters lets cover the burn surface with Bacitricin and keep it completely covered with a dressing and a bandage. If you have a local doctor to help, some Silvadene would be even better for the rest of the week, then switch to the bacitricin. You need to watch very closely for any signs of infection. In this case look around the outside edge of the burn for developing redness and swelling. If you plan on getting some Silvadene from your Doc, you might be wise to have him/her take a quick look at it anyhow. With a little luck (and no infection) you may have little more than a red area of skin. When you have a thin but complete layer of reddish skin over the burn use a high quality skin cream like Mederma, Eucerine, or A&D cream to help with healing and keep the skin soft and healing. Protect the burn area from abrasion too. You might even use extra Mederma at night and keep a bandage over it to keep things from rubbing.

    Hope this helps!
