   If you find that your lights are dimmer than they should be, there are a number of checks you can do before calling in the professionals.       1.Replace the light bulb. If your bulb's filament is damaged, the light may be dim or flickering.
      2.Turn off large appliances such as your refrigerator or air conditioner to see if the light intensity increases. If the light becomes brighter, it's likely that there is not enough power in the circuit to run the light and the appliance together. Hire an electrician to install a separate circuit for your lighting so your lights have enough power to glow at full capacity.
      3.Check the wiring that connects the light fixture to the main circuit. If these wires are frayed or badly connected, it could restrict the amount of power getting to the light and cause it to dim.
