    Hi,
Following their success in the recent one-day series England go into the 1st Test against South Africa full of confidence and Sky Bet are offering 11/4 for Andrew Strauss’ men to come away from Centurion victorious. However, apart from the short series against the West Indies in May of this year, England have failed to win an opening Test of any series since they overcame Bangladesh at Lord’s in May 2005. It’s 5/4 for South Africa to take the opening Test and 13/8 to end as a draw.

Sky Bet’s Tim Reynolds said: “The toss could play a crucial role in the first Test. There has been plenty of rain in Centurion over the last couple of days and if there is still moisture in the air tomorrow morning and the ball starts to zip around, it could play into the hands of Anderson and Sidebottom.”

Paul Collingwood, who was the leading batsman in the ODI series, is 5/6 to outscore South Africa’s Jean-Paul Duminy (5/6) in a first innings match bet. It’s 5/6 for Kevin Pietersen to outscore Jacques Kallis (5/6) and in the battle of the captains Andrew Strauss is 5/6 to outscore Graeme Smith (5/6).
