   Go to the "System" menu and select the the option "Memory". Check the hard drive option, then press Y. The Device Options screen for the hard drive will comes up with "Rename" and "Format" options. Press X(2), LB(2), X(2) to clear the cache. Alternately, enter the "System" menu and select the "Memory" option. Press Y for device options, then press either LB, RB, X(2), LB(2), X(2) or X(2), LB, RB, X(2), LB, RB. You will get a message stating that the system is performing maintenance.
