we just received our Black Forest cuckoo clock and everything seems to be in place (chime is in on position), however it does not chime at all. I heard from someone that it should make a click sound when advancing the minute hand to 12, but that doesnt happen either.
Any thoughts??

It sounds like during your move, the "snail and rack" jammed up (thats the part that controls and regulates the cuckoo sound). Try this... move the hands backward a complete hour, then back again. it should start cuckoo'ing again. If not, your going to have to bring it into a shop and have it un-jammed. Hope this helps and good luck!

Try the shutoff switch in the opposite position.  Sometimes they are mismarked.  Also, be sure to follow our blog at www.germanclocks.org for lots of information on care of clocks, cuckoo clocks, and all kinds of great articles on the world of horology.

Hi I just bought a Black Forest Cuckoo clock a few days ago. The number of times it chimes does not corelate with the time displayed. Appreciate the help in solving this problem. Thanks.
