DS lite rattles when shaken, help?

My sisters DS lite wont turn on properly. When she puts it on charge the orange light comes on and when she turns it on (when it SHOULD be fully charged) the green light comes on but the screen and the sound don't turn on. It rattles when we shake it. Is there anyting we can do to fix this problem?

After my daughter dropped her DS-Lite and would not turn on, we could hear something was loose inside. I ordered a tri-wing screwdriver from play-asia.com so I could open up the case. I followed youtube instructions on how to get the case open, and expose the motherboard. I did not have to completely disassemble it. A tiny, loose black cube fell out. I studied the motherboard carefully to see exactly where the missing piece had broken off from. Then my husband soldered the cube back into its place. It worked. We were glad not to have to spend a lot of money on this repair and it was fixed in less than 40 minutes. The black square they call it is a inductor with reference name of L2 on the circuit board next to the power-on switch. It is part of its power circuitry and when is disconnected there will be no power to turn on the DS.
