I am seeking for the details about the job description of brand manager. Actually my brother has switched his previous job to a multinational organization, where he has to work as a brand manager. He needs to know such information, please help him.

     "The job of a Brand manager is more than a marketing job. Brand managers are accountable for the overall growth and output of their products, which includes management and developing their product’s P&L, image and positioning in relation to their competitors. They are the key responsible who use to design, develop and implement advertising strategies and activities to promote their brands or products in the market.

    Brand managers organize market researches to identify customers’ needs and requirements and implement strong advertising policies to ensure their products gain maximum acceptance and perform better than their competitors.

    To be creative is a key responsibility of a Brand managers and be familiar with latest advertising strategies as the job also requires coordinating events, marketing projects and marketing campaigns for their brands.

    Brand managers has to coordinate with a wide network of people like marketing and media experts, contractors and sales agents along with their own internal marketing team members. For this Brand managers have to show effective leadership qualities, good interpersonal and social skills, strong analytical abilities and the able to perform various functions at a time.

    Brand managers are also a member of the management team, having to report weekly results and activities during management meetings as well as to integrate corporate objectives into their brand management strategies.

    Training and Education Requirements:

    Brand managers are required to have core knowledge about marketing-related subjects such as advertising, consumer behavior, marketing strategy, market research as well as some knowledge about accounting and finance.
