    Manual database is very slow and clumbsy, not reliable (in the sense you can lose file records) like filing in a cabinet. A computerized db is stored in a computer. It is  very fast, well organized information, and grouped related data. It is more reliable as you can recover it whereas manual db cannot be recovered.
