Islamabad Medical and Dental College is affiliated with the internationally reputed Bahria University and is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and Ministry of Health. It is also included in WHO Directory as well as in the International Medical Education. Islamabad Medical and Dental College has a purpose built campus with large teaching halls, well equipped modern laboratories and a spacious library providing variety of books and internet access, making possible a more dynamic learning and teaching environment. Islamabad Medical and Dental College hosts a diverse student body not only from all across Pakistan but also from Middle East, the U.S.A. and Europe. IMDC hosts several societies and student clubs which are responsible for arranging multicultural extra-curricular activities. The institution prides itself for its renowned teaching faculty. The faculty which has extensive teaching experience from both national and international institutions. Islamabad Medical and Dental College has a 300 bedded Social Security Hospital as its attached teaching hospital. The hospital is a referral centre for over 18 Social Security dispensaries from Attock, Jhelum, Rawalpindi and Chakwal districts. It provides free of cost health and patient care for approximately 1.5 million secured workers and their families.
