The National heritage organizations in Australia are working to promote and protect the heritage and history of Australia. These organizations are divided into Governmental and Non-governmental organizations. The Governmental organizations are listed as under:
    - Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts
    - The Australian Heritage Council
    - Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies
    - Environment Protection and Heritage Council
    - Office of Indigenous Policy Coordination, and
    - Wet Tropics Management Authority.
