How can I be blocked when I just joined today?

I just joined Facebook today. Following the menus, my Hotmail contacts were listed and I selected several to 'friend'. While completing my HS and college information, I was kicked out of the system. I signed back in and got warning messages about friending too many people I don't know and now am blocked from friending anyone. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Yes that is an issue at Facebook if you add up more then seven people in a single go then most probably you will be blocked on Facebook. And is what happened in your case.

There are ways out if you want to add more then seven friends a day. You need to add one at a time then give a break of half hour. After half hour add another one and like wise you can add at-least 20 friends a day.

So that is why your account might be blocked adding more then seven friends in a single go.
