I like to know about some of the tests that are required to diagnose different types of allergies, what are some of the signs and how can I diagnose them for allergies?

There is allergic testing which can determine whether a person is having allergy or not. Like eating contaminated food which is also known as food poisoning can cause symptoms to food allergies. There are medications like aspirin and ampicillin that cause allergic reactions which also include rashes. A runny nose also show allergic reaction just like the cough is a sign of infection. Most common type of allergies appear on the skin and skin testing is the most common method of allergy testing. One of these type is prick test. It involves a method to place a small substance on the skin and then pricking it slightly so that the substance moves under the skin. The skin is then closely watched for signs of reactions which also include swelling and redness. Skin testing is also an option for children and infants. Other type of skin tests are patch testing and intradermal testing. Blood tests also help to measure different levels of specific allergy related substances in body. A complete blood count (CBC) will also help in reveal allergies. There is a specified test conducted by doctors to check reactions to physical triggers by applying heat, cold or other stimulations to the body and then they watch out for allergic response. Sometimes there is suspected allergen which is dropped into the eye to check for allergic reactions.
