How can I remove my site’s contact information from Alexa?

I don’t know how Alexa got my website contact information, and now I want to remove my contact details from Alexa. Please guide me how to do so!

    You can use the Self-service tools at http://www.alexa.com/edit/ to do so. Enter your site name into the form.  (You’ll have to log in to Alexa first.) If you have claimed the site, or have an email address on that site’s domain, you can update the contact info to “unlisted” yourself. If cannot claim the site (for example, if you no longer own it) select the option to “Request verification by an editor”.  On the next page select one of the “Delete the contact information” options.
