I went to a medical website to do research and to log in, I was assigned a password. The password was sent to me via-text. After logging in, I received another text thanking me for my subscribtion of there service (a $9.99 monthly fee). I don't want this. Please help before I change my mobile service just because of this.

reply to the text with "cancel". I did this and then immediately received a text back that said that my subscriptiion was cancelled and I would no longer be charged. I don't even know how I got this to start with..... I am going to try to deny the charge if/when it shows up on my bill.
If you wish to get rid of those mobile alerts, go back to that medical site, and access their mobile alert section, there you can find the answer to your querie in FAQ section. If that site is providing its customers with mobile alert service, it must be having infomation regarding, how one can disable it when need arises. If this information is not available there, you will have to change your network.
