Attaulla Khan Esakhelvi is popular among masses if I am not wrong. Since, he did not do marketing like today's singers do, how did he manage so much popularity? Please discuss!

Well, it reminds me of lines from a popular Pakistani blog Pakistaniat.com where they stated that Atta ullah Khan Esakhelvi became a sensation not because someone in the music establishment ‘discovered’ him but because his cheaply produced and cheaply priced music cassettes (or ‘kaaste’ as the word was sometimes pronounced, at least in parts of the Punjab) became immensely popular amongst bus and truck drivers – which meant that his music was soon traveling far and wide!

The music he produced was famous among the truck drivers and local pakistani fans in all the category. The best part of his music was poetry.

Atta ullah Khan is a Pakistani Country songs singer with a total changed style of singing. The main elements giving this much popularity to the person is the truck drivers association in Pakistan.

In early 1980's Atta ullah Khan was among the most popular singer of truck drivers. Truck drivers in Pakistan all the time like to keep songs of him while driving.

As the trucks are driven in almost each and every part so soon all other communities were known to the name and people from around the Pakistan came to know about Mainwali.

Since then till now Atta ullah is gaining more and more fame through his songs and here i would like to mention one more thing that is the poetry in these songs sung by Atta ullah is exceptionally heart touching which also contributed a lot in the journey of popularity.
