How heat map can serve in KSE?

Mostly people prefer heat map at Karachi stock exchange, but as first time investor I do not know the benefits and how to read the heat map. Please help!

Heat maps can serve a dual purpose. Firstly they give a valuable instant visual representation of how a particular index or sector is performing.
