I have got heavy bikes and mountain cycles and now I have decided to get a new quad bike for myself. Any estimates, how much will it cost me in city? I do not like those Chinese quad bikes.

An All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), is also called as a quad, quad bike, three wheeler, or four wheeler, this is defined by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a vehicle which travels on low pressure tires, with a seat and is straddled by the operator, along with handlebars for the steering control. As the name suggests, it is designed for handling a wider variety of terrain after comparing other vehicles. Although it is a street-legal vehicle known in some countries, and it is not street legal within most states and the provinces of Australia, the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom. In the UK, the recent variant class of ATV is a road-legal and there are few models available in this class.

By the new ANSI definition, ATVs are designed for use by a single operator, some companies have developed ATVs for use by the operator and one passenger. These ATVs are known in this article as tandem ATV.

The rider sits on and drives these vehicles like a motorcycle, the extra wheels give more stability at slower speeds. Although it is typically equipped with three or four wheels, six-wheel models are for the specialized applications. Engine sizes of ATVs are currently for sale in the United States, it ranges from 49 to 1,000 cc.
