How much it takes to have USA green card?

Hi

From application process to the final green card, what is the possible time frame for getting a USA green card? Can you give me the exact time frame of this process? I have very little information about it. I am from Afghanistan and applying for the USA green card. What are the chances for me,, and how early I can get it?

Hello there

There is no hard and fast rule. Let me clear you mind that it depends on your case and the prevailing situation as well. And you told that you are from Afghanistan. This is the weakest link, you know American homeland security and immigration department has strict policies for certain nationals. Like others, Afghan people are also facing the same problems while applying for US or Canadian green card.

If your history is clear and you case is strong, or someone permanent residence of US is sponsoring you than I can say it will help you. But still there is no certain time boundary as I have said it earlier. Your case may be entertained on the basis of security concerns and the immigration policy for the region.
