How to make adjustment on Husqvarna Designer 1 to use Quilter's Hoop on Embroidery unit

I have an older model where the release button on the embroidery unit is light gray and thus needs an upgrade by a technician. They were unable to do this when I had it serviced.  Any help would be appreciated.

    check the power supply wire and in further, if not works, check the connection of the button esrablished with the wire.
