   According to the Mercedes C240 owner's manual, it is important to change the car's oil and oil filter once in a year. First you will have to locate the oil filter, which can be found on the driver's side of the engine compartment. You will have to unscrew it by hand, You will have to dump away the oil filter and its gaskets. Its better that you dispose it off at the oil collection facility. Cover the hole where oil filter was with some rag so that the oil should not spil over the system. After changing the oil,  assemble  a new oil filter with its gaskets, every new oil filter has an instructions manual follow those directions, they will assist you in  assembeling oil filter properly. Then s***w it by hand.
