   The most important thing is to get wireless Internet for your laptop into your house is the Internet itself. In case you do not have Internet access then you will have to contact Internet Service Provider such as your cable or phone company for getting an internet connection.    After getting Internet connection you need to set up a router to get the Internet signal wirelessly throughout your house. For that you will buy a wireless router. After getting the router you connect the cable or connection from your modem or Internet source to your router and the router antenna will transmit signal into air. Once done, the instructions will provide an IP address to type into your web browser to run the wireless network.    Laptop usually comes with a built-in network card if not then you will need to install it in your laptop. You can also buy a PC network card for your notebook or laptop and need to plug it right into a PC card slot. The laptop will detect the wireless network automatically. If unable to connect then go to the Control panel, press "Network connections" button and then find written as "Detect wireless networks." Choose your network, to make wireless internet connection.
