Welcome to ball-by-ball coverage of the all important third final between Hyderabad Heroes and Lahore Badshahs.
Hyderabad secured a nerve-wracking eight-run win yesterday. The result may well have been different had it not been for Justine Kemp's sensational one-handed catch to dismiss Mohammad Sami, who had hit two big sixes on his way to 18 and looked well set to take his team to victory, after an early wobble.
There were some heated exchanges following Sami's departure as the Badshahs wanted the catch, that was taken at the edge of the boundary ropes, to be referred. But there were no doubts over the fact that the catch was taken cleanly and that Kemp had managed to avoid touching the ropes as he dived to his left.
Hyderabad will be bouyed by the fact that they won the game after batting first, but would have hoped for a bigger total, particularly after the start they were given by Jimmy Maher, who made a 31-ball 56. They'll be looking for their middle-order to step up, after losing six wickets for 45 runs.
Lahore will look for their openers, Imran Farhat and Imran Nazir, to fire. They lost early wickets yesterday, and then relied on a lower-middle order to get them past the Hyderabad score, which they couldn't overhaul.
The pitch is hard and devoid of any moisture, but is expected to slow down as the game progresses.
Hyderabad have won the toss and elected to bat
No team changes for Hyderabad. For Lahore, Khalid Mahmood is out and is replaced by Humayun Farhat.
Chris Harris: "The pitch is probably a touch slower than yesterday, but it's still a good one."
Inzamam: "We would have bowled first had we won the toss. It doesn't really make much of a difference as there was hardly any dew yesterday. Our boys are all geared up for this crunch match and despite what happened yesterday, we haven't lost our focus"
