I have starting problem with my ML430 2000.Its starts and runs normally in the morning. After

After driving several miles and park about 1-2 hours I have problem with starting. The battery is almost new, the belt has replaced 1 week ago.My friend( used to be mechanic) recommends me just replace fuel filter.What I could do for fix my problem and be sure that my car always will start?

    I had same problem with my 2000 ml430. It would start fine cold then when warm it wouldn't start. Turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor. It is a common problem for this make and model. Hope this helps
