I need to get a startup recovery disk for my computer

I need to get windows updates on the computer and it said that we needed internet explorer to use it.  We tried to install internet explorer several times and it won't work.  We then called microsoft and spent 2 hours on the phone with them and they can not get it to install either. They said it seems like there are corrupt files on the computer and that we need to get the startup recovery disk in order to fix the corrupt files. We need to see where we can purchase the disk.

    try the webmaster at mpcdrivers.com, they do have some restore disks available
