If Jesus was a man of color then why do all the Churches still show the image of him as white? Some say color has nothing to do with then why make him white even in Africa?

In Orthodox Christian icons, dark colours and shadows represent evil and demons. People, angels, Jesus, etc are depicted as having light skin becasue they are Good because they are with God (they believe). They have a holy light, pure look to them. This is just SYMBOLIC and traditional in icon painting and it has nothing to do with the actual shade of Jesus's skin. (I personally picture Jesus a little darker than in icons.) I get really upset when people say people of colour or blacks are evil and impure because the icons show people with light skin. In short, don't worry about this misconception and tell them they are wrong. Some people are just shallow and enjoy hating a group of people. Again, the skin tone of Jesus is just symbolic and traditional in icons, just like the robes he wears in the icons that he never actually worn in real life. I hope this helped.
