   Technology has changed recently in that some computers have reached the end of their operating life and the old technology and methods are not permitted in some countries any more. Some of the calculating facilities have been re-implemented in software sometimes replacing a binary floating-point unit, new flat screen displays have required different interfaces to enable display of some colours, graphics and images compared to a crt video display. Some countries do not allow cobol as it is now 50 years old, and other languages for data processing and web tools have been created and used
