    Agra is one of beautiful city situated on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is present at the banks of river Yamuna, 363 kilometres (226 mi) west of state capital, Lucknow and 200 kilometers (124 mi) south from national capital New Delhi. It has approximately 1,686,976 populations and ranked as one of the most populous cities in Uttar Pradesh and the 19th most populous in India. As eighty percent of the city's sewage comes into Yamuna River, that is why it is placed as 20th most polluted city in India.
   
   Agra is also a administrative district and its headquarters in present in the Agra city. It received popularity as the capital of the Mughal emperors during 1526 to 1658 and remains a main tourist destination because of its several  splendid Mughal-era buildings, many notably the Tāj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpūr Sikrī, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
   
   Agra has a moderate feature of climate that borders on a humid subtropical region. The city characterizes mild winters, hot and dry summers and beautiful monsoon season. But the monsoons, though substantial in Agra, are not quite as heavy as the monsoon in other region of India. This is a basic factor in Agra featuring a semiarid climate as opposed to a humid subtropical climate.
