   The Lexus RX is a luxury crossover SUV which is sold by the Lexus since the year 1998. The RX series is comprised of multiple V6 and hybrid powered models such as the RX 300, RX 330, RX350, RX 400h and RX 450h which is either in the front of front-wheel drive or the all-wheel drive versions. There are three generations of Lexus RX that have been produced till date, in the compact or the mid-size form. The Lexus RX has been one of the best-selling luxury SUV on the US market since its introduction and has also ranked as amongst one of the best-selling luxury vehicles in the United States. RX is the only Lexus vehicle which was to be produced within as well as the outside of Japan as well, with the North American market RX 350s are being made at the Cambridge plant in Canada.
   
   The Lexus RX was first premiered in the year 1997 as the Lexus concept, which is followed by the debut of the production of RX 300 model at the year 1998 at the North American International Auto Show. In the year 2003, the second generation RX debuted in the U.S., and the redesigned version of RX 330 went on sale. The RX line is an addition to the world's first luxury hybrid and the RX 400h. The redesigned third generation version of RX 350 went on to sale in year 2009, it was followed later that year by the second generation of Lexus RX hybrid, which is known as the RX 450h.
   
   In the August 2010, Lexus began offering the RX270 which is a front wheel drive model with a 2.7 litre four cylinder engine in the Japan, China and Russia. The new RX 270 has the entry level offering for the RX lineup with a lower base price and fewer emissions.
