The Mark X is a series of model continued to the basic model of Mark 2 which was first introduced in the year 1968, and is also well known in the North American market as the Toyota Corona mark 2 which started in the year 1972. The Mark X is not pronounced as Mark Ten rather it is pronounced as Mark Ex. The Mark X provides a good alternative to Toyota Camry for buyers who like Camry but they prefer a front engine and rear drive powertrain with the option to add the all wheel drive, which Camry does not offer. Mark X uses a V6 engine.

A redesigned version of Mark X was released on October 19, 2009. The Engine options that are available are 2.5 L 4GR-FSE V6 and the 3.5L 2GR-FSE which is found in the Crown, GS 350 and IS350. The standard models which are available are 350G, 250G, 250G four. The sports model of this car are 350G and 250G. The 250G has the all wheel drive option. The changes from the precious generation include the change of exhaust outlets diffuser, 6 speed automatic for AWD models and the return of hinge design trunk instead of lift support. Just like with the last generation of Mark X, Toyota’s in house tuning company Modellista installed a supercharger on the 3.5 L 2GR-FSE motor to create the Mark X plus M Super Charger. The power output is about 360ps.
