    Hi,
These machines need cleaning occasionally as they have a narrow pipe which clogs up. (don't wait until it stops working!).

You can buy cleaners in a supermarket.
    Thanks

My Keurig has started shutting itself off.  Why?

My first Keurig worked great for about 9 months then it started acting up.  Keurig tried to fix it but they couldn't so they sent me a new one....the new one shut off in the middle of a brew cycle.  They sent me a replacement 3 weeks later. Same problem.   I am on my 4th Keurig and they all shut off for no reason.  It does not need cleaning new out of the factory.  That is a stupid answer.  There is something wrong with the new Keurigs....maybe Toyota is making them!

We are on our second Keurig Platinum machine. The first one we had for 2 months and it started to shut off by itself! We returned it and got another new one last week and sure enough, it's doing the exact same thing! Not only is this one shutting off, but it will just run and run trying to pull the water level down from the basin. Then it will shoot out about 4 oz even when I choose the large size mug! It has nothing to do with "cleaning" the machine Mr. Ali! It's new out of the box and only gets used for about 2 cups a day! I'd say it's pretty clean. Not to mention we only use filtered water! This is ridiculous!

My Keurig Coffee maker is not working.  The water heats and then both the small and large cup flash, it says BREW, but when you push either button nothing happens.  I try to push the MENU button and it does not work either.  It seems like all three of these buttons are not working?  Please advise.  Thanks Mike

You can set how long before it shuts itself off. Read your manual.

I HAVE HAD THIS PLATINUM MAKER FOR A WHILE--CAN`T FIND MY BOOK AFTER MOVING. THE MAKER KEEPS SHUTTING OFF AND WHEN I PUSH BUTTON IN BACK TO PUT ON AGAIN-IT ONLY STAY ON FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND THEN SHUTS OFF AGAIN.

the resevoir water gets heated but then comes back into the water resevoir from the top resevoir tube. thewater coming back in is very hot. almost no water goes into the coffee mug.

Same problem here. Keurig says they no longer fix them but will sell me a new one. I don't think so.

We purchased our first Keurig in Feb 2010.  It worked shortly and returned it to the store for another one.  That one lasted until May 2010 when it stopped.   Contacted Keurig who sent us a new one stating apparently there were issues from the batch made in December 09.  Long story short, the third one started doing the same thing, short cups, no cups, not filling, etc.  When customer & technical service was called December 2010, they wanted to know what type of water we used in it, whether there was a filter (which you can buy separately) for the water, and if it had been descaled.  They suggested using a paper clip to clean the needle from the side and the back.  You would have to be double jointed to get to the back of it.  Needless to say, I promptly told them what they could do with their machine and hung up.  A waste of time, energy and money.

I too have a faulty Keurig. I only use distilled water (a lot of it!!!) Have tried descaling. Mine also heats the reserve water and then dumps it back into the resevoir. When it does FINALLY brew a cup it doesn't fill the cup. I tried to call Keurig, (congratulations to those that actually got an answer) I was told a tech would call me back. 24 hours later I received the call when I was at work and could not troubleshoot the machine. Mine also turned itself off once and I discovered that the timer had been somehow set. Once I turned the timer off that problem went away. I can't figure out why it won't put water in the cup and it's not stopped up, I tried cleaning the pin with a paper clip.

    Pull the water resevoir off.

Push it back on with a litte force.

    Unplug machine for 30 seconds.

Then try again, this fixed my problem off the machine automatically shutting off on me.

I have same problem as most...1/2 cups of coffee...ran plain water through it without the K-Cup and it works fine now!
