The fabulous 1 Series Coupé was marketed in the US as one of most astonishing l successor to the BMW 2002, a two-door from the 1970s popular for its light weight and high level of performance as compare to the other. It was clear dissimilar and eminent with its long bonnet, slim cabin and short rear. For the 1-series hatchback commercial, Kermit the Frog was appear as driving a BMW 1 Series around in a desert like place, demonstrating the car's agile nature and playful handling. BMW is also promoting its range of cars by showing a 3-episode promo web movie which was prepared in Hamburg with a New York cast that looks almost like a film noir and give an impression more like a mini–TV movie or film, with the main emphasis on the actors and more subtle appearances of the car itself. These intervals of films were prepared for viewing in Japanese movie theaters. BMW currently launched a viral campaign in order to promote the BMW 1 Series further. The campaign focus on an online video 'mockumentary' named Rampenfest that chronicles the adventures of a small Bavarian town attempting to use a giant ramp to literally release the new BMW from Germany to the U.S. All these promotional strategies delivered a strong image to the BMW 1 Series in the automobile industry.
