Ministry of Food and Agriculture invites application fill up the vacant post of project Director for its project titled “National Agriculture Land Use Plan” on contract basis. The post is equivalent to BS-20 and lump sum salary package of Rs.1,00,000 per month (all inclusive) with an annual increment of 5%. In case of in-service BS-20 government officer, his services will be borrowed from his parent department against standard terms and conditions of deputation and in addition will be paid project allowance @ Rs. 50,000 per month. Initial appointment will be made till completion of the project i.e. 30th June, 2012. Pakistani national fulfilling following criteria may apply.
QUALIFICATIONS:
M.Sc. in Soil Sciences/Chemistry/Natural Sciences/Management Sciences.
AGE: 45-62 Years
EXPERIENCE:
The candidate should have practical experience/background and well acquainted with soil surveys, land use planning, scientific land evaluation, land evaluation research, cropping pattern and preparation of land use plan. Candidates of Private/Government sector with experience of at least 15 years field experience in modern reconnaissance soil survey/mapping using remote sensing data/air photos, land capability classification and report writing out of which at least 5 years practical experience in the implementation of large development projects/programmes in addition to overall service experience of 17 years. Must have leadership qualities and proven track record to manage and monitor multidisciplinary team of professionals and an analytical approach to design specialized monitoring and evaluation tools to ensure the desired feedback at various stages of project implementation and efficient & effective use of available recourses. Experience of working in/or with government organizations and working/hand-on knowledge of computers will be preferred.
