    HI,
don't know what a BP800 lock is. I may know it by another number. Does the dial have an S&G on it? Or does it go "click click" when you pass "0"? Remove the 2 screws-if there are any, that holds the back cover in place. Remove the 1 or 2 steel plate4s behind the lock. In the upper left hand corner of the lock back cover there may be a small square hole, if there is you will need a key. If not then it is a hand change. Can you send a pic of the front of the lock and 1 of the back of the lock and we can go from there. This is what the serial number means; 1502444-   1- is 1 lock,  5- is 5 drawers,
0- is the year- 1980 or 90 or 2000-about, 2444- unit produced in that year. Look on the left side of the control drawer-one with lock on it, and there is that info.  lock bob
