Mubarak stepping down?

I heard that Mubarak refused to step down or leave the country and instead handed his powers to his vice president Thursday, remaining president and ensuring regime. While some other news said that Mubarak is stepping down.. What's true? please update with latest situation

    yes he announced he willl resign soon in favor of his public
