   Oliver (Ewan McGregor) watches as his life begins to fall apart with three ads which makes it his father (Christopher Plummer) who has terminal cancer, who is g*y and has a younger lover.
   
   This film is the second feature film from music video director Mike Mills who has worked with Moby and Yoko Ono.
   
   Beginners is a story with autobiographical overtones that pinpoints how we are all always beginners as far as relationships are concerned.
   
   The film explores the relationship between Oliver with the rest of his world: his father (Hal), the boyfriend of this (Andy), his late mother, Anna (Mélanie Laurent) a girl he meets in the middle of whole mess and even Hal 's dog.
