My ferret is eating blankets made of fleece and any other cloth he can get a hold of!

    Mine does too...especially when he is getting ready to fall asleep. I asked my vet about it and he said to make sure the blankets are fleece/cotten and don't have a lot of loose strings that could get tangled in the intestinal tract. He also suggested giving him some ferret lax every couple days to help him pass the cloth. Watch for loss of appetitie, inability to pass stool, thin stringy stool, vomitting and pain when being picked up. If any of these occur take your ferret to the vet immediately because he may have a blockage.
