Question:

My microwave won't turn off

My JVM1790 GE Profile microwave makes a strange sound when I close the door(so we don't).  If we don't get the food out when the time stops it starts to make this same sound and then the food starts smoking.

    The cook relay (RY2) on the control circuit board (smart board) has shorted.

    That can be repaired for $39.95 in most cases.
