Yes, it is true that a Pakistani named Mohammad Ahsan, a computer information system engineering student at NED University of engineering and technology has made a computer mouse which is operated by foot .

Currently , the foot mouse is in the phase of its development. Three prototypes  have been designed by using different materials. First was made by  using wood for the sandal’s structure, then rubber and the third was made of composite material, wooden base with rubber upper.

This foot mouse will very helpful for disable people to work on computer.

As reported in Express tribune, the association of the physically handicapped Adults (APHA) says that almost 10 percent of the people in Pakistan are disabled in one way or another.

The foot mouse was specially designed to help people with disabilities, But a normal person can also get benefit from it. It can be helpful for users to increase typing speed. It can also be taken as a pointing device for gamers.

Ahsan has many other ideas to develop more products like a Braille keyboard. He is already working towards the idea of ‘E can do IT’. It stands for “Every one can do Information Technology”. The basic purpose  behind ’E can do IT’ is to make computer education accessible for physically disable people in Pakistan.

Ahsan, the inventor of foot mouse, needs manufacturers and investors help so that he can produce the product in large quantity.
