The families were told the terrible news on Wednesday, five days after an initial explosion had brought the mine to collapse. Since the accident, workers were trying feverishly to get a life sign from the 120 meters in depth buried miners. Two buddies had it even managed to free themselves from the tunnel. The two reported that attempts were still three more miners to reach the top. But by nightfall no one had reached the exit.
