SLP playback video problem

SLP playback snowy video. Audio OK. SP OK. Heads clean.

Records in SLP OK -- will playback fine on another VCR.

    This was my question and I was incorrect about the heads having been clean. They were only "cleaned" with a head cleaning VHS cassette.

    I opened the machine and gave it a good thorough cleaning and it is now working.

    If anyone has a problem with snowy picture and good audio, open the machine and give it a good cleaning.

    There are good instructions for how to do this safely if you search for "VCR head clean."
