Seven match ODI series too long

Australia wrapped up the series in four matches, but there are still three dead rubbers to play in the seven match series. Surely five matches would have been enough?

    Five matches would have been enough in a series that has failed to generate the tension of the preceding Ashes series. It would have also allowed a bit more of a rest for players who have played a full summer of Test and ODI cricket before the Champions Trophy next week.
