Batting Test debuts  for Sheldon Cottrell didn’t end well, he made 0 runs and was cleaned bowled by indian test debutant Mohammed Shami.

Mohammed Shami was the pick of the indian bowlers by taking four wickets, three of which were cleaned bowled.  Sachin Tendulkar the man with the most batting records bowled 2 overs, gave 5 runs and took the wicket of Shane Shillingford.

What Cottrell did in bowling for West indies Rohit Sharma notched a knot higher in the batting for india.  In his first test, Rohit Sharma is already at 127 runs with sixteen 4’s and a 6.  His test average at this exact moment is higher than any other batsman in the world, providing data sample of less than one match has any indication.
