Should SWTOR take the F2P model?

Considering that its active player base continues to be dwindling, probably the free-to-play model will encourage other players to test their hand with the game. So, what can everyone think? Should SWTOR take the F2P model or do you consider how the subscription model is much better and may ensure quality content along the way?
