I know the mobile phones boom came to Pakistan after 2004, but before this a little population was using cell phones in one way or other. Just curious to know that when mobile phones actually began their journey in Pakistan?

Mobile Phones were streamlined in the pakistani society in the late 90's by two telecommunication companies, instaphone and paktel. Since then mobiles are commonly used in Pakistan, and with the passage of time, they have become a necessity instead of a luxury.
