I have a pet dog from the past 3 years; I love my pet so much. From last week I am noticing some cuts and wounds in its skin, is it suffering from skin infection or it’s something else? Please I need to know the information about skin infections in dogs.

"Whenever you observe a cut or a wound on your dog’s skin, you must aware that there is a great chance of infection. Pyoderma is a kind of infection caused by the pathogenal contamination of the skin that is very usual in dogs. Lesions and pustules on the dog’s skin, in some situations minor hair fall, commonly known as infection. Medication is normally granted on an outpatient cornerstone and prognosis is good.

Symptoms and Types of skin infections in dogs:

    • Itchiness

    • Pustules

    • Crusted skin

    • Small, raised lesions

    • Loss of hair (alopecia)

    • Dried discharge in affected area

The contamination can infected on the external layers of the dog's skin, or if there is a deep cut or wound, in the inward layers of the skin. The latter contamination is mentioned to as deep pyoderma."
